Fall in Upstate New York consists of beautiful and colorful fall foliage, crisp air, hoodies, pumpkin spice everything, football, and apple picking. The entire season is beautiful and enjoyable until you arrive home and see thousands of leaves on your well-manicured lawn, dead branches falling, and dead flowers on your garden beds. Raking leaves off your lawns is a time-consuming and physically demanding task that can leave you with a sore back and blisters on your hands.
Fall or Autumn is the prime time to prepare your yard for the next growing season. As the temperatures drop aboveground growth slows and moist soil encourages strong roots. Removing fallen leaves and dead branches helps protects your lawns, trees, and plants overall health.
Our Fall clean up landscaping service consists of raking and leaf blowing all leaves, sticks and lawn debris from yard and out of flower beds. We then remove all debris from the property and dispose of it. We do the difficult task of removing all the dead leaves from your lawns so you can spend your time with family, friends, or simply doing whatever you want instead of spending countless hours raking leaves.
Since we not only get the dead leaves off your grass in the fall but also take them away with us, you won’t have to look at bags of leaves sitting on the edge of your property waiting for the town to pick them up, helping maintain the look of your yard and your curb appeal.
Most of our clients use our progressive fall clean up landscaping. Progressive means that instead of simply a one time clean up we are at the property removing leaves and debris throughout the early fall season until all of the leaves have fallen from the trees, rather than letting them all pile up. However; some of our clients do choose to have only one large fall clean-up, late in the fall to remove all of the leaves.
While we happily serve those who only want a one-time fall clean up, we do recommend the progressive leaf clean-up as it is important not to let leaves collect on the ground for too long. Excess leaves on the ground reduce water evaporation and reduce sunlight. These conditions help foster the growth of mold, fungus, and disease on your lawn. Also allowing these leaves sit on your lawns during the winter can not only risk damaging portions of your lawn, but also become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other various insects in the Spring.
